Below are prices for hair services. We are a leveled salon so prices vary but you can get a general idea of price by level. Stylists are measured in skill, experience, training, and leadership but all of our stylists are either in or have completed our core training. If you would like specific prices for a stylist please you can visit our team page or call either location. We do not quote hair extension prices or advanced color work over the phone as these require a consultation. Please read those pages to learn more on process and price. Hair Extensions
We offer different options in hair extensions and you may read more on our hair extension page. All full sets start at $1000 but we can give an exact price on hair cost at the consultation. Hair extensions are priced on hair cost and stylists hourly rates. An install usually takes around 2-4 hours but some methods like tape extensions take less time than single strand methods or NBR.
Extension blend cutting is always included in hourly rates. These are base prices for average length micro-links which are also called I-tips or micro rings. Our owner was one of Kansas City’s first extension specialists since 2006. We also offer newer hybrid techniques like NBR (natural beaded row) and hand tied wefts . A consultation for exact price, color match and maintenance is necessary prior to booking service with an extension specialist. For NBR downtown request Brielee, and for Lakewood request Mariah.
- I-tip, Tape In or NBR- Extension Consult $25 (applied to cost of hair)
- Extension Maintenance- $200
Hair is Hair.
Hair is hair and human hair is our thing. Individual style is matter of preference. If you’re unsure which stylist is best for your style, just ask and we can help schedule you with someone who is the best fit for what you want for your hair!
Time is everything.
Time is everything in how we charge in a salon. Sometimes haircuts can take an hour and half if you have long thick hair and are going shorter. Color maintenance appointments are far shorter than when you are working to get your hair to a certain look. That’s why we usually charge an hourly rate until color maintenance is achieved. It usually takes an appointment to two to get hair significantly lighter or when changing color. Think of color like fitness. If you visit the gym consistently, you see results.
We Speak Color Science Facts.
There’s really nothing “basic” about our color work so it’s difficult to give basic prices. We use whatever technique or process in our skill toolbox necessary to get what you want. We communicate and don’t over promise. Corrective work is when you have a previous color you want to change, or if we’re establishing new color. We go into more detail on our blonde page and highlight pages.
Pre-booking is important.
We suggest booking your next appointment at checkout because most of our stylists book several weeks out. Regular appointments keep hair beautiful and keep costs down. Keeping expectations on the same level of maintenance you’re willing to commit is also important. If you’re a brunette who gets highlights a few times a year but always wants blonder, that means moving up appointment frequency.
- Haircuts: should be booked 4-8 weeks (depending on length.)
- Base color: 4-6 weeks
- Highlights: 6-10 weeks (depending on how blonde you are)
